We’re looking for a Deputy Manager to lead our Outreach Services, supporting people sleeping rough to move off the streets and into safe, stable accommodation. This is a key leadership role, working closely with the Service Manager and Day Centre team to make sure our services are joined up, responsive, and centred around each person’s needs.

You’ll oversee outreach and navigator services, ensuring people are identified quickly, supported safely, and able to access the right accommodation and support without delay.

What you’ll be doing

· Leading outreach and navigator teams to deliver coordinated, person-centred support

· Making sure people sleeping rough are identified and supported into accommodation quickly

· Overseeing risk, safeguarding, and complex case decision-making

· Supporting and developing staff through supervision, coaching, and reflective practice

· Managing rotas, service delivery, and quality across outreach services

· Working closely with partners to improve access to accommodation and support

· Monitoring performance and driving improvements in service delivery

· Deputising for the Service Manager and supporting Day Centre operations when needed

About you

You’ll have experience working in homelessness or related services and be confident leading teams in complex, fast-paced environments.You’ll be calm under pressure, able to balance risk and compassion, and committed to delivering high-quality, trauma-informed support.

You’ll also bring:

· Experience of working with people facing homelessness or rough sleeping, particularly where people have multiple or complex needs

· Experience of leading or supervising a team within outreach, street-based, or community-based services

· Experience of managing risk, safeguarding concerns, and complex situations

· Experience of developing and maintaining effective multi-agency relationships to support people into services and accommodation

· Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced and changing environment

Where is the role?

If successful, you’ll be part of HARP’s Outreach Services, working in a fast-paced, frontline

environment with people who are sleeping rough or at risk of homelessness. You’ll work across

the community, helping to ensure a responsive approach to moving people off the streets and

into services and accommodation.
