More than rough sleeping - HARP

How we are funded

Providing housing on its own isn’t enough for people recovering from the trauma of homelessness.

At HARP, we provide accommodation for over 320 people at any one time.

Why do we need to raise money?

Breaking the cycle of homelessness

Housing is one part of what we do. The remaining 35% of our income comes from fundraising, events, grants, and donations. This supports the wider work that helps people move forward. This includes:

The Bradbury Day Centre:

Open every day, offering food, clothing, showers, healthcare, and access to support workers for people sleeping rough. This service relies on community support and donations.

Recovery, innovation and vocational activities:

Up to 25 sessions run each week, including gardening, art, and fitness. These activities help people build routine, confidence, and connection.

Street outreach:

Funded by the City Council, our team is out every day, meeting people where they are and helping them access support.

Employment and training support:

Helping people prepare for and find work. This is a growing area of our work and a key focus for future fundraising.

Prevention work:

Supporting people at risk of homelessness with practical help and advocacy, aiming to stop homelessness before it starts.

All donations are reinvested into this work, helping us continue to support people across our community.
