Our partners SKArchitects submitted entries for Bluebird to three Royal Institute of British Architecture (RIBA) East awards and last night at the awards celebration we were absolutely thrilled to win all of them! This included:
Regional Award 2024 – Winner: SKArchitects
Client of the Year Award 2024 – Winner: HARP
Sustainability Award 2024 – Winner: SKArchitects
Nicky Bowling, Director of Property Development for HARP had this to say on Bluebird’s latest success: “Last night’s wins surpassed all our hopes, and I was thrilled for Steven and Danielle at SKA to receive the recognition for their unstinting commitment to delivering on our ambitions and ethos. The Passivhaus was a massive leap of faith for all of us and a very steep learning curve, and it is to their credit that they received the Sustainability Award validating all the effort that had gone in to achieving it.
The Client of the Year award for HARP was the icing on the cake for me, as it recognises not only our ability to deliver great projects in partnership with SKA, but is about the work we do within these buildings, and the people we help, which after all is what we are all about. Everyone at HARP should feel proud as this is for all of us.”
We spoke to Danielle Simpson, the award winning architect behind The Bluebird Project. “It’s difficult to put into words how proud we are that Bluebird has been so widely recognised as an exemplar for both architecture and design, and its social purpose. It’s so rewarding to see how much the residents have made the spaces their own and to hear how well-loved Bluebird is – we can’t ask for more than that. The work HARP do is nothing short of incredible and we’re delighted that they’ve also been personally recognised for their commitment to delivering high quality design that has a measured impact on residents lives.”
